Summer Volunteer Opportunities for 2009

The Princeton Public Library is now accepting applications for teen volunteers (those entering seventh grade and older in September 2009) to help with our 2009 Summer Reading Clubs.

Interested volunteers must complete an application and register in advance and attend just one of four 45-minute orientations sessions.

Attendees must be prompt and attend the full session.

The sessions will be held in the second floor Conference Room of the library.

May 9 at 11 a.m.

May 12 at 4 p.m.

May 20 at 7 p.m.

May 27 at 4 p.m.

Applications may be picked up at and submitted to the Youth Services Desk on the third floor of the library, or download an application and submit online to asantos@princetonlibrary.org.

Application deadline is May 15.

  • SOS - Service Opportunities for Students. Find opportunties for volunteer service; search their list, or search by interest. This is a Princeton-based organization managed by student volulnteers.

  • COMMUNITY RESOURCE FILE Princeton Public Library-produced database of 848 local organizations, clubs and social and government agencies. The Community Resource File is updated on a regular basis, with the information on most organizations no more than one year old.

  • Hands on Helpers.org Volunteer database of greater Mercer County, NJ
